Why its important for physical shops to have a website too

Why it is just as important for businesses with a physical presence to have a website, as those without

Some important facts which are not realised by everyone, but common sense...

1) Get people through the door!

People will often research your business before they walk through the door. So even if you have a physical presence it's really important that you have all your products listed on your websites so visitors can see what you have for sale before they come to visit you. Research shows that visitors being able research your business before physically visiting can make a massive difference in the number of people walking through the door!

One of our clients temporarily turned their online shop off recently as an experiment. They found that sales in their physical retail shops dropped dramatically as a result! Really goes to show just how important it is to have all your products listed on your website.
 

2) Get found on Google

Having all your stock on your website will help you appear in Google when people search for those kinds of items, especially if they're searching locally.

 

3) So your products can be shared

If you have your products listed on your website then visitors can share them on social media. This in itself can help drive visitors to your door.

 

Remember - if you have a physical shop, having a website is not just about online sales, it's to boost retail sales too!
